As a student in the Netherlands, you are required to pay an annual tuition fee. This includes the statutory fee.

 

Students from the Netherlands, the European Economic Area (EEA), the EU, Switzerland, and Suriname are eligible for the statutory tuition fees if they meet the legal requirements.

 

Statutory Tuition Fees for 2024-2025:

 

Full-time students: €2,530

 

Part-time students: €2,156

 

Dual students: €2,530

 

AUC (Amsterdam University College) students: €4,940

 

PPLE (Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics) students: €5,060

 

The tuition fee is valid for a full academic year. For students enrolling as of 1 February, the fee will be calculated as 7/12ths of the full rate.

Second degree

Fees Details

If you have already earned a Dutch Bachelor's or Master's degree and you enroll in a second degree programme in education or health care, you will pay the statutory fee (€2,530) instead of the institutional fee.

 

This reduction does not apply if you have already obtained a similar degree in health care or education, or if you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA Member State, Switzerland, or Suriname. In these cases, you will be required to pay the institutional fee.

The institutional fee is the same for full-time and part-time students.
