Welcome to our College of Foundation and Diploma Studies, launched on 1 April 2011. The College of Foundation and Diploma Studies consists of 4 distinct depart​ments. They are the Department of Engineering, Department of Sciences & Mathematics, Department of Languages and Social Sciences and Department of Computing. The objective of the College of Foundation and General Studies is to prepare the pathway for students into the various bachelors degree programmes offered in the university. Since June 2003, Universiti Tenaga Nasional has been accepting applicants with the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification or its equivalent, into a one-year Foundation programme. Students who complete the Foundation programme successfully will be able to pursue further studies in the appropriate Degree (Honours) programmes. The Foundation programmes provide a comprehensive and proper coverage of disciplines that equips students for entrance into UNITEN, and also other universities in Malaysia. In addition, these foundation studies will also train students to be confident entrepreneurs and future leaders, and present them with lots of opportunities to experience a well-balanced and holistic education in our college.
