\\\\\\\"The Mechanical Engineering programme provides a strong base in the Mechanical Engineering with a well-established balance between theory and experiments during the four years of study. The curriculum consists of a good mix of general courses as well as core Mechanical Engineering courses. A total of 127 credit hours of courses being taught in 8 semesters and on average there are 5-6 courses per semester being taught. The programme also contains a compulsory Industrial Training attachment after semester 6 for a period of not less than 12 weeks.\\\\\\\"
Requirements
"Pass STPM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least Grade C for Mathematics and any 1 relevant Science Physical and Pass English in SPM Level ; or Physical/Technical Stream Min CGPA 2.00 ; or Foundation from other institution with minimum CGPA 2.0; or Pass A-Level with credit in Mathematics and 1 Science Physical subject; or Pass Diploma in related field with minimum CGPA 2.00; or HND(UK) DIPLOMA Pass HND in related field with minimum CGPA 2.00; or Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in 5 subjects including Advance Mathematics and Science Physical subjects ; or Pass IB with total points at 24 in 6 subjects including Maths and 1 Physical Science subject ; or
SAME/WACE/AUSMAT Pass with everage marks of 55% with Maths and any Physical Science; or Other equivalent qualification recognized by Government of Malaysia "
IELTS 5 & TOEFL 500 or; Cambridge English (Advance CAE) or; Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) or; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic or; Applicant from countries using English as an official medium of communication or; Applicant from an academic institution using English as a medium of instruction.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons.) programme can work as mechanical engineers in a broad area of applications which include industries such as automotive, power plants, chemicals, processing, aerospace, computer, machine tool and many others. Mechanical engineers are also engaged in a variety of activities including design, manufacturing, research, development, testing, construction, operation, sales, management, consulting and teaching.
